CinemaCon 2012
Executive producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, made an appearance last week at CinemaCon 2012 during Disney’s Exclusive Presentation Highlighting the Summer of 2012 and Beyond. He gave audiences a little more insight into The Lone Ranger, starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer.
What to Expect
Story:
The Lone Ranger is one of the most iconic characters in the history of entertainment. The character’s black mask and white Stetson have become universal symbols of the fight for justice.
Today’s audiences are familiar with the characters, but over time, the origin story of the Lone Ranger/Tonto duo has been lost. This is where Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer Films come in. The story told will be that of how Tonto and The Lone Ranger came to be, but will be reinterpreted in a fresh way that will captivate modern audiences.
Action:
The movie is going to be told in the perspective of Tonto, played by Johnny Depp. Depp will bring his exceptional talent of creating characters into the film and will be sure to entertain every member of the audience. In addition, Director Gore Verbinski is among the best in the business in crafting action sequences. People’s expectations of a Western will be elevated to an entirely new level.

The Lone Ranger will hit theaters on May 31, 2013.
